Here is one of the photo poems we shared in the Bicentenary Workshop in November 2024. The poem was read on the day by ANITA BREEZE
dancing colours and shapes black horses, carved pumpkins and stone minervas a city of palimpsets hats like exotic blooms carved birds in flightless flight curious animals watching the busy city creatures of imagination a city of wonders and marvels welcome smiles and calories sore knees and hips, of age and repair of the meetings of past and present literary lunches and psychedelic hats Here is another of our photo poems. This one was read on the day by MIRANDA PENDER a city of summer visitors moving through of itinerants, of viewers and voyeurs healthy legs, feet planted in sturdy trainers bicycles waiting for their owners to return footsteps and shadows many bollards, not enough buses, cold surprising winds weekend lovers Bath the centre of the world grand promenades and narrow passageways shaded squares for watching office workers practise boules heritage and history, leisure and pleasure a city of reflections in windows a city of shadows on stone Third photo poem. Waiting to be reminded who read this..... a city of sunlight through foliage bluebells in beechwoods green corners and kissing gates scrambling roots and sunlight on water wildly wild garlic and happy golden light a city of open spaces a city of trees and shade fairytale glimpses the fleeting effects of sun brown leafed autumn free spirits and flying thoughts greedy gulls with their own agendas otters and sticklebacks secret gardens and enchanted lanes
